Welcome to AiRemote (including "AiRemote TV" and "AiRemote: AI Smart TV Control", hereinafter referred to as "the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how METALOOP LIMITED ("the Company," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
We may collect the following personal information:
- Account Information: Email address (for account creation), auto-generated username, and preferences.
- Device Information: Device model, manufacturer, OS version, unique identifiers (Android ID/GAID), IP address, and network info.
- Location Permission Notice: Note: Location permission is required for Wi-Fi scanning to discover TV devices, as per Android OS requirements. No actual location data is collected, stored, or uploaded.
2.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect information about your interaction with the App, including features used, connection frequency, connected TV brands, and connection methods (IR/WiFi).
2.3 Analytics Data
We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to track app usage patterns, session duration, and technical performance logs.
2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

- ❌ We do NOT track what shows or channels you watch.
- ❌ We do NOT access your personal files or photos.
- ❌ We do NOT collect payment info directly (handled by Google Play).
- ❌ We do NOT use your camera or microphone without permission.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Service Provision: To pair with and control your TV devices and sync settings.
- App Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, fix bugs, and optimize performance.
- Communication: To respond to support requests and send essential service updates.
- Security: To detect fraud, prevent abuse, and ensure user safety.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do NOT sell your personal information. We only share data with:
- Firebase (Google): For analytics, auth, and crash reporting.
- AdMob (Google): To display relevant ads in the free version.
- Cloud Storage: To store your encrypted preferences and settings.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Storage: Data is stored on secure servers in the United States.
- Encryption: SSL/TLS encryption for transmission and encryption at rest.
- Retention: We retain data as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts are cleared within 30 days.

6.1 Access, Correction, and Deletion

6.2 Advertising Preferences
Free version users can limit personalized ads via Android System Settings. Premium subscribers do not see advertisements.
6.3 Account and Data Deletion (Critical)
You can request to delete your account and all associated data at any time. To do so, you may follow these steps:
- In-App Method: Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account within the App.
- Email Method: Send a deletion request to metaloopapp@metaloopapp.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
Once a deletion request is processed, your account information, saved TV connections, and personal preferences will be permanently removed from our active databases within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. If we discover data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your residence, including the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what data is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt-out of any data sale (though we do not sell data).
10. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), and data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.
11. Data Retention Periods
- Active accounts: Retained while active.
- Deleted accounts: Permanently deleted within 30 days.
- Usage logs: Up to 12 months.
- Support tickets: Up to 3 years.
